The services I provide are outlined below. 

Prior to starting any research it will be necessary to carry out a free no obligation consultation, either by telephone or email to ascertain what your requirements are and if they can be achieved. I will require details of the person who will be the starting point of any research and/or an explanation of any mysteries or problems you would like me to investigate. I will then spend a free half hour of research time appraising the information you have given me and report back to you with a recommended plan of action.

The cost of a family tree as outlined below would be £300 plus the cost of any certificates at £10 each. I usually expect to have to buy up to 12 certificates, for which I would require £120 in advance. If fewer certificates are required any money not used will be taken off the final bill.

The cost of other research projects is charged at £25 per hour plus expenses at 32 pence a mile if traveling more than 20 miles, (most of the repositories I use are within 20 miles), and the cost of any photocopies or certificate I need to buy.

You may just want to spend a certain amount on research and see how far it gets you. A budget can be agreed in advance and I will always obtain your authorisation before committing to any expense.
